First Steps and Useful Information

We do not relocate or exterminate wasps or hornets.

Use a beekeeper, not a "removal specialist" or exterminator.

Safety First: We recommend that you do not attempt to remove honey bees yourself or spray any chemicals or water on them. This will only agitate the bees, putting you, others, and pets at risk.

Do Not Seal the Entrance: Attempting to seal the entrance used by the honey bees may lead them to find another way into your home. Additionally, if you successfully block their entry, the leftover honey and comb will attract other insects, causing a more costly problem.

Expect a Reasonable Fee: A fair fee is typically charged to remove and relocate honey bees.

The Paseo del Norte Beekeepers have dedicated countless hours to developing the skills necessary to safely remove and relocate troublesome honey bees. Our senior beekeepers are registered with the states of New Mexico and Texas and do not exterminate honey bees. Given the value of their time, they may travel long distances to assist with your situation. Each incident is unique and often requires a site visit for proper evaluation.

Apprentice beekeepers often accompany experienced beekeepers to gain mentorship and learn this sometimes dangerous and challenging skill.

Our beekeepers use a written agreement detailing all costs and risks for both the homeowner/business owner and the beekeeper, which must be signed before any removal begins.
